rules

The Rules are pretty straight forward. Fill out a bracket, selecting each team you think will advance each round. Register now. Then make sure you sign in and make your picks before Wednesday, March 18 at 11:59pm. You will NOT be able to edit your picks after this time.

Entry Fee/Winnings

Entry fee is $5 for each person. All payments must be made before tournament begins on Thursday. First place takes home 80% of the proceeds. Second place comes away with 20%.

FIRST PLACE: $213
SECOND PLACE: $53

How to play

1. Fill out a complete bracket.

2. Select 4 "Cinderella" teams and 4 "Lock" teams (explained below).

3. Enter your tie-breaker.

SCORING

You earn points for each team you pick that wins in each particular round. Points are gained as follows:

College Hoop Fix - Scoring

Cinderella

Each player must pick one “cinderella” team from each of the 4 regions (4 total). When these teams win they earn you the difference in points of the seed they beat.

College Hoop Fix - Scoring

If your Cinderella beats a team with a lower seed (13+) there are no points awarded. You lose nothing when your Cinderella loses.

You do not have to pick your Cinderella to win the game in order to get points. This is outside the confines of your selected bracket winners.

Locks

Pick one team from each region you think is going to do well. Each time one of those teams wins you get as many points as they are seeded. (#5 seed gets 5 points per win) But when (if) they lose, you lose that many points too.

College Hoop Fix - Scoring

You do not have to pick your Locks to win the game in order to get (or lose) points. This is outside the confines of your selected bracket winners.

Tie Breaker

Select the total number of points (both teams combined) scored in the championship game.
